Welcome to our Club
Kinetic Gymnastics is an inclusive gymnastics club, based in
Wantage and Didcot Oxfordshire, for children from 5 years old
upwards.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly club, catering for a wide range
of abilities, from purely recreational gymnasts to those who wish to
develop further.
The club is registered with the British Gymnastics Association and was originally formed in 2009 as Cre-8 Gymnastics. The
club went on to become Kinetic Gymnastics in 2010 after it split from King Alfred’s School and moved from Wantage to it Didcot
in August 2012. At the start of 2018 we moved most of our classes back to Wantage at Wantage Leisure Centre, we are still
holding a few classes at locations in and around Didcot.
Currently, we have around 100 members and offer both recreational and squad classes with gymnasts
generally training between 1 and 15 hours a week, depending on ability and commitment. Both boys and
girls attend our recreational classes, although once at squad level, we specialise in women’s artistic
gymnastics. Our gymnasts travel to us from all over Oxfordshire (Abingdon, Benson, Berinsfield, Didcot,
Faringdon, Newbury, Oxford, Wallingford, Wantage to name but a few places) so there is a good chance
you can share lifts and make new friends wherever you live.
Classes are based around such disciplines as the balance beam, asymmetric (uneven) bars, vault and floor work, together with
range and conditioning work.
